- Location: Mountain View, CA - 4 days onsite 1 day remote
- Two virtual interviews, followed by a third onsite (virtual third round possible for candidates relocating).
- Candidates must be open to self-relocation and available to start onsite from Day 1.
We are seeking a skilled and technically-oriented professional to join our clinical engineering team in an onsite role (4 days/week). This is a backfill opening for a team member who transitioned to a competitor. The position is initially a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension and possible conversion to full-time, as seen with prior team members.
You will join a collaborative group of approximately 14 team members (3 inventory, 9 clinical, 1 engineer). Most team members lack an engineering background, so this role will serve as the core technical/engineering support to drive process automation and data analysis improvements.
- Provide technical engineering support for clinical studies involving software medical device features.
- Support signal processing and biosensor data management.
- Create and maintain data analysis tools, cloud-based tools, and storage solutions for clinical research data.
- Contribute to clinical data management and improve study execution workflows through automation.
- BS required; MS or PhD preferred in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience working with biosensor data in clinical study settings.
- Experience designing and executing clinical studies is a plus.
- Strong background in data monitoring, statistical analysis, and signal quality review.
- Proficiency in MATLAB is highly preferred; familiarity with Python and/or Java is a plus.
- Hands-on experience working with biosensors such as smartwatches, rings, ECG/EKG, EEG, PSG, SpO2, and other physiological monitoring tools.
- Familiarity with wearable technology integration in clinical research.
- Strong programming skills and experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS).
- Understanding of APIs, data pipelines, and data storage architecture.
