We're seeking a skilled and driven Application Engineer, Machining Processes, to support our manufacturing clients in optimizing their operations and tooling performance. Responsibilities:

Recommend cutting tools based on machining parameters and applications
Diagnose and resolve tool life and performance issues on-site
Analyze tool usage data and suggest improvements in tool design or process
Collaborate with manufacturers to improve machine uptime and productivity
Support tooling, process, and manufacturing engineering teams
Attend production and tooling meetings to stay aligned with customer needs
Provide vendor updates and manage supplier tasks
Deliver improvements in tool life, quality, and overall process efficiency

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or strong knowledge in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in:

CNC machining and metal cutting tools (indexable, solid carbide, etc.)
Tool life optimization, work-holding, and process improvement
Lean manufacturing practices

Strong understanding of:

Materials, surface finishes, and treatments
Reading and interpreting technical blueprints

Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
