We are a leading aerospace component manufacturer, delivering high-precision parts for critical aerospace applications. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a driven and detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team and help take our manufacturing processes to the next level.
Position Summary
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our production processes. You will be responsible for engineering models and documentation, optimizing production workflows, improving yields, and ensuring manufacturing efficiency and quality through continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
· Create and update 3D engineering models and mid-level manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks.
· Develop and revise routers/travelers to reflect optimal process flows.
· Author clear and effective work instructions for shop floor use.
· Lead and implement Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
· Participate in new part contract reviews and first article development.
· Support and contribute to specification review audits.
· Conduct time studies on tool life, cycle time, and setup time.
· Drive yield improvement initiatives through data analysis and root cause identification.
· Lead process improvement and continuous improvement projects across operations.
· Design and develop manufacturing fixtures and tooling to improve efficiency and quality.
· Collaborate cross-functionally with production, quality, and planning teams.
Qualifications
· 3–5 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering within a production or machining environment (aerospace industry ).
· Proficient in SolidWorks with strong experience in 3D modeling and detailed drawing creation.
· Solid understanding of manufacturing workflows, process optimization, and fixture/tooling design.
· Demonstrated success in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
· Working knowledge of ECO processes, time studies, and process documentation.
Qualifications
· Experience working with tight tolerance aerospace components.
· Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
· Exposure to ERP/MRP systems for routing and traveler creation.
· Knowledge of GD&T and precision machining principles.
