Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer, responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies to drive efficiency, quality, and productivity in preparation for 1LMX across MFC. Our team plays a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges, and this role will assist and travel to specific MFC manufacturing sites for extended periods of time prior & during the 1LMX transition. Individuals in this role will be on the forefront of change, implementing new processes, & driving continuous improvement in our manufacturing operations.

What You Will Be Doing As a Manufacturing Engineer, your focus will be on driving solutions, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering verbal and written status reports, highlighting project milestones and progress
  • Communicating project risks, solutions, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
  • Representing the team in programmatic reviews and status meetings
  • Creating and updating work instructions, manufacturing documentation, and other shop floor documentation to support production needs
  • Coordinating shop floor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues
  • Organizing discussions and approaches to Root Cause analysis of component non-conformances and ensuring implementation of effective Corrective Action
  • Monitoring and reporting on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs

This position can be in Dallas or Orlando. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.

Proficient in utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) software

Experience using precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment

General understanding of industry standards and common specifications

Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g. ISO 9000, AS 9100)

Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools

Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $81,600 - $143,865. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
