Key Responsibilities: Engineering & Leadership: Act as both an individual contributor and a mentor, providing guidance to your teammates on the Cloud Platform Engineering team. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Design, develop, and maintain automated infrastructure using Terraform and AWS services. CI/CD & Deployment Automation: Create advanced CI/CD pipelines to facilitate application deployment across diverse architectures. Cloud Architecture & Security: Align designs with AWS Well-Architected Framework and adhere to security protocols to ensure compliance. Operational Excellence: Deliver high-quality solutions quickly, managing complex requirements in fast-paced environments. Strategic Planning: Formulate tactical plans for IaC implementation across various product maturity levels. AWS Security & Networking: Handle IAM policies, Security Groups, and VPC configurations to maintain robust cloud security. Collaboration & Communication: Partner with stakeholders on design decisions and provide project updates to leadership. Innovation & Scalability: Design and develop AWS services utilizing Kubernetes and related tools. Best Practices & Standards: Establish infrastructure design best practices that enhance engineering consistency. Perform additional duties as assigned by your manager. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. A minimum of 8+ years of relevant industry experience, ideally with 2+ years in an AVP equivalent role. 10-15 years of experience in cloud automation and infrastructure development is preferred. AWS Security & Networking Expertise: At least 8+ years handling IAM policies and other security controls. Infrastructure as Code: Demonstrated mastery in Terraform with extensive hands-on experience. CI/CD Pipelines & GitOps: 6+ years of building pipelines using GitOps and automation platforms. Kubernetes & Service Mesh: Strong background in deploying Kubernetes and using service mesh technologies. Cloud-Native Scaling: Familiarity with tools like Karpenter for automated scaling. Programming & Automation: 6+ years of coding experience in Python, Shell, or similar languages. AWS Cloud Services: Proficient in EKS, EC2, RDS, Lambda, and more. Additional Qualifications: Experience with Bedrock Data Automation and Knowledge Base is a plus. Understanding AI Agents, preferably AWS based agents. The annual full-time salary for this role is between $140,000 and $170,000, paired with benefits including medical, dental, vision, and 401K.
