As the Senior Principal Engineer AI-based Autonomous Driving Systems, your primary objective will be to leverage your expertise to drive the development and deployment of AI technology for automated driving at Bosch. You will be responsible for guiding the development teams to provide the functional architecture that ensures competitive performance. Together with the C-suite management you will be developing the organization to be capable of delivering such a product.Tasks:Lead the Bosch L2+ ADAS product development focusing on the usage of state-of-the-art E2E AI architectures.Provide technical guidance to our global development team based on first-hand experience with taking an E2E AI L2+ ADAS product to market.Drive fundamental E2E AI architecture design decisions and ensure their successful implementation.Develop the organization's capabilities to deliver safe and high-quality AI-based autonomous driving systems.Work closely with the data-driven software development and development eco-system to ensure seamless integration of AI technologies.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of AI-based autonomous driving systems.Stay updated on the latest industry trends and advancements in AI-based autonomous driving systems to drive innovation and continuous improvement.QualificationsBasic Qualifications:Master or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or similar10+ years of experience in data-driven software engineering and product development of AI-based autonomous driving systemsProven industry experience in product development and public road release of AI-based autonomous driving systemsExcellent leadership and communication skills to effectively lead and collaborate with R&D teamsKnowledge of PaaS approach using cloud as a foundation, e.g. MS AzureProfound knowledge in mapping AI-models on embedded and resource constrained hardwareProficient in coding e.g. with C++ , PythonProven track record of leading the end-to-end development and successful deployment of complex AI-powered systems into production environments at scalePreferred Qualifications:Proven leadership skills of large heterogeneous and global project teams including engineers, product and project managers as well as financial staff, e.g. controllingComfortable in interacting with C-Suite management to develop overall vision and its implementationKnowledge regarding the automated driving technology and the automotive industry in general including relevant automotive standards as ISO-26262Additional InformationThe U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is $240,000 - $300,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc. This range does not include annual bonus percentage nor any other monetary considerations for the total compensation package.
