Robust Benefit Package Who You Are: Experienced software development professional with at least five years of hands-on experience developing modern cloud-native software using the .NET Framework, Java, or Python Subject matter expert in software architecture, web services, databases, or some other aspect of software development Willing and eager to work as part of a team where you will be able to improve your own skills while helping others on the team improve theirs Someone who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get down to work S. As a Senior Software Engineer at Monarch, you'll have accountability for ensuring new Monarch software products include their intended requirements, help ensure that all software has been successfully tested prior to its release, and may assist in the design and documentation of product releases, including system requirements and DHF artifacts. You may be called upon to assist in installations/upgrades and customer support on technical issues as necessary. You will also drive continuous improvement within Monarch, assisting with the identification and implementation of process improvements and tool changes.
In this role you will: Complete development tasks (schedules, testing, requirements documentation, programming specifications) for the various Monarch development activities and ensuring tasks comply with all software development procedures. Provide input to cross functional teams by helping describe product enhancements Assist with client installs, upgrades and/or issue investigations Generate/update software development-related design history file documentation for Monarch products Review product requirements and programming specifications and resolving defects Determine technical architectural design to be included in Monarch products. Determine the best way to separate development components so that they may be worked on by others. Determine when to escalate issues to management. Provide input on many decisions on many different technical architecture and development topics and relay those suggestions to supervisors, peers or subordinates. What You'll Need to Succeed: Minimum: High school diploma or equivalent. Solid knowledge of software development best practices. Solid understanding of modern cloud-native software architecture. Solid understanding of databases (SQL Server preferred). Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
