Join the talented Frustration Free Setup (FFS) team at Amazon as a Software Development Engineer (SDE) dedicated to crafting innovative device setup solutions for both Amazon and third-party products. In this dynamic role, you will focus on developing seamless customer experiences through SDK development and cloud services integration. Be a part of a team that enhances setup experiences for a variety of Amazon devices, including Echo, Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and Kindle, as well as third-party devices with Alexa integration. We are looking for a creative and experienced engineer who will take ownership of major deliverables, build solutions from the ground up, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on customer experiences and business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Lead and mentor fellow engineers while fostering the best customer experience with a focus on latency, security, and usability. Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to transform their vision into effective technical solutions. Guide team members in development best practices through example and collaboration. Handle the end-to-end design of significant deliverables in close coordination with other SDEs and Product Managers. About the Team: The Frustration-Free Setup (FFS) program at Amazon enables device manufacturers to simplify the device setup process, making it as effortless as opening a box and powering on a device. Our technology is integrated across various device categories, such as smart speakers, cameras, TVs, and health devices, to provide a delightful and straightforward customer experience. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of professional software development experience. At least 2 years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling. Proficient in at least one programming language. Preferred Qualifications: 3+ years of experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, and testing. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Experience in mobile development (iOS/Android) or embedded development (C/C++). Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across various geographic markets in the U.S., with base pay ranging from $129,300/year to $223,600/year based on job-related factors.
