Why This Role is Special As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will help architect next-gen automation using collaborative robots, PLCs, motion controllers, and advanced sensing systems . You will work closely with mechanical, software, and R&D teams to turn bold ideas into field-ready solutions – and contribute to patentable innovations that set new industry standards.
What You Will Do Lead control system design: sequence control, motion tuning, HMI integration Program and optimize servos, steppers, and 7-axis robots Solve real-world precision issues (vibration, resonance, etc.) Integrate smart sensors: vision, infrared LiDAR, ultrasonic Define system architecture with flow diagrams and state machines Collaborate across teams – from concept to development Contribute to invention disclosures and IP generation Travel up to 25% to support launches and customer installs What You Will Gain Work on award-winning, ground breaking products Be part of a fast-paced, IP-driven team shaping the future of food automation Drive real impact and leave your fingerprint on breakthrough innovations Requirements: What You Bring 5+ years designing automation with PLCs, motion controllers, robotics Experience with servo tuning, torque feedback, multi-axis motion Proficiency in automation languages (Structured Text, Ladder, C) Deep knowledge of industrial protocols (CANbus, Modbus, MQTT, etc.) Hands-on control panel components and system troubleshooting Proven track record in delivery automation projects successfully The job description is fluid; the candidate must be flexible and ready to do what is required for the company to succeed.
