Role Overview This role focuses on designing, implementing, and supporting Okta solutions within our organization's Identity and Access Management (IAM) space. Responsibilities include advanced configuration, troubleshooting, developing customized solutions on the Okta platform, leading projects, migrating users and applications, ensuring system integration, and supporting teams.
Contract Details This is a 12-month contract role.
Essential Functions
Support Okta Workforce and CIAM Platforms and integrations.
Evaluate IAM organizational structure, system configuration, and applications; recommend operational and security enhancements.
Drive IAM best practices and document security standards in collaboration with Enterprise, Security, and Application Architects.
Manage IAM environments for administration, maintenance, and support.
Establish repeatable processes for IAM/MFA onboarding, including requirements, integration, documentation, and handoff.
Build relationships with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery.
Monitor IAM platform proactively to prevent or minimize issues; troubleshoot escalated problems.
Adhere to compliance requirements, including change management, password and MFA policies, and workflows.
Provide leadership to develop high-performing teams.
Create technical specifications and documentation for platform integrations.
Support risk management and data security initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent experience.
8+ years supporting, maintaining, and integrating IAM cloud/on-prem environments.
8+ years managing IdP environments.
Experience with OAuth integrations, REST API, and CIAM Live Service applications.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of IAM platforms and integrations.
Experience with multi-factor authentication solutions for large user bases.
Knowledge of IAM concepts like SSO, MFA, Lifecycle Management, workflows.
Proficiency with SAML 2.0, OIDC, SWA protocols.
Experience with SCIM for user provisioning.
Supporting HR system integrations with MFA for profile management.
Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
Comfort working in Windows and MacOS environments.
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Background check and drug screening required.
Preferred Qualifications
Okta Certified Consultant or other IAM/security certifications.
Experience with MS Active Directory, on-prem, Azure, AWS Managed AD.
Physical Requirements Work is primarily sedentary in a normal office environment, involving extensive computer use. Occasional standing, walking, and lifting up to 10 pounds may be required. Must have visual acuity and dexterity for documents and equipment. Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
