Position Overview: The Supplier Quality Engineer will develop and manage the quality assurance program for Atlas, including reviewing customer quality documents (E-Certs), guiding software development for quality processes, and overseeing supplier audits, SCARs, and performance monitoring for Hadrian’s Approved Supplier List (ASL). Responsibilities: Facilitate and approve supplier audits, SCARs, and monitor supplier performance. Ensure compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards through audits and establishing audit criteria. Develop and operate the quality assurance process for Atlas’ subcontracting operations. Define and implement review processes for customer quality documents (E-Certs). Review aerospace quality documents like FAIRs, material certifications, and inspection reports. Guide development of in-house tools to streamline supplier quality documentation review. Verify inclusion of customer flow-downs on purchase orders. Assess supplier capabilities using aerospace CNC machining expertise. Build and scale the supplier quality function, including hiring and process improvements. Collaborate across teams to improve supplier quality operations. Enhance supplier partnerships to meet and exceed quality standards. Required Qualifications: Deep knowledge of aerospace machining, GD&T, and manufacturing quality challenges. Experience evaluating supplier capabilities and maintaining high standards. Ability to review and enforce aerospace quality documents. Skill in designing scalable quality workflows, corrective/preventive actions, and automation. Experience working with product/software teams on system requirements and digital tools. Proactive mindset to establish and mentor a structured supplier quality team. Additional Qualifications: Experience auditing suppliers; certifications are a plus. Experience with data analysis tools like SQL or Python; Six Sigma knowledge is a plus. Understanding of quality clauses in contracts and emerging tech like AI/ML.
