System Engineer (Integration & Testing) Onsite (Colorado Springs, CO)

An organization is seeking a System Engineer with integration and testing skills to support the ATLAS program. This is an onsite role in Colorado Springs, CO.

The Space Defense Operations Center (SPADOC) is the system of record used to provide 24/7 support to the space sensor network (SSN), maintaining the space catalog and managing United States Strategic Commands (USSTRATCOM) SDA sharing program to the United States, foreign government, and commercial entities. SPADOC also supports advanced analysis, sensor optimization, conjunction assessment, human spaceflight support, reentry and break-up assessment, and launch analysis. This system is operated by the 18 SPCS at VAFB.

• Test Automation Development: Write, maintain, and improve automated test scripts (e.g., unit, integration, UI, performance).

• CI/CD Integration: Integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.

• Code Quality & Coverage: Monitor code quality metrics such as test coverage.

• Tooling & Framework Design: Develop and maintain internal testing tools, frameworks, and utilities, while supporting other developers with best practices.

• Bug Tracking & Reporting: Log, track, and verify defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps.

• Background in full-stack engineering, test engineering, or software engineering.

• Demonstrated familiarity with test automation (hands-on experience preferred); any automation tool(s) qualify.

• Experience with troubleshooting and data/log analysis.

• Willingness to learn the SDA mission and ATLAS applications.

• Space domain background.

• Kubernetes experience.

• Python experience.

• Familiarity with Robot Framework.

• Active Secret security clearance.
