JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for critical systems at the Rocky Mount Event Center, Imperial Center, Business Center and Administrative Complex. Position will oversee the operation of HVAC, Lighting, Sound and other BAM systems.
REPORTS TO: The Director of Central Services assigns work in terms of general instructions. JOB REQUIREMENTS
System Management: Oversee the operation and maintenance of the building management systems, including HVAC, electrical, and other critical infrastructure. Event Support: Provide support for building lighting and sound systems. Troubleshoot, repair and modify when necessary. Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor system performance and implement optimization strategies to improve efficiency and reduce energy consumption. Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to BMS, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to data center operations. Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality service delivery. Team Leadership: Provide guidance and training to the facilities team on BAS operations and best practices. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all activities comply with relevant building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of system operations, project progress, and any issues encountered. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in building automation systems Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, lighting and sound systems Proficiency in BAS software and tools. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong project management and leadership abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to interpret technical documents such as schematics and blueprints. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a management position with 5 or more direct reports. **Required Qualification:** Possession of North Carolina driver's license is required for this position.
