LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a growing organization, and they are seeking a motivated Tooling Engineer to join their team. Seeking an Engineer who excels in designing and optimizing tooling systems for aluminum forming, stamping, and machining. You will be responsible for playing a pivotal role in driving efficiency, precision, and cost-effectiveness across production processes.

Key Responsibilities: Design and refine tooling for aluminum component manufacturing. Collaborate with production teams to assess and improve tooling performance. Select materials and fabrication techniques aligned with product and volume requirements. Partner with suppliers to source, fabricate, and test tooling components. Conduct root cause analysis on tooling failures and implement corrective actions. Support new product development through feasibility studies and prototype tooling. Ensure tooling compliance with safety, dimensional, and surface quality standards. Maintain comprehensive documentation including CAD files and revision histories.
Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering. 3+ years of experience in tooling design—preferably in metal-forming. Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred). Strong knowledge of aluminum alloys and press tooling. Familiarity with quality systems and manufacturing documentation. Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Effective communicator and team collaborator. Experience with compound dies and complex tooling systems.
Compensation Range: $90,000-$115,000
