Our client, Kforce Technology Staffing, is seeking the following. Apply via Dice today! Responsibilities: Provide wireless technology leadership for the development of wireless technologies including WiFi and mobile, engineering design, and deployment support. Assess new product requirements and develop technology solutions and architecture designs to support them. Test and certify new Small Cells, Home/SMB Routers, Wireless Access Points, Wireless Access Gateways, and Controllers for deployment. Work with Operations to resolve WiFi and mobile access network issues impacting the business or customers. Develop guidelines and provide technical leadership for tools and processes supporting new products and technology solutions development, testing, and validation. Validate technology capabilities through lab evaluation and field trials. Drive innovative technologies and approaches (e.g., 802.11ad/ay, UWB, BNC, Mesh Network) to enhance performance, reliability, and QoE. Support new wireless technologies and initiatives, including network security, virtualization, and new applications/services. Optimize Spectrum WiFi performance for public WiFi infrastructure. Develop tools and processes for engineering design, testing, and certification of new technologies and products. Review designs, code, and test plans where applicable. Participate in RFPs/RFIs, hardware/software evaluations, and vendor negotiations.
Requirements: BSEE in Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent; MBA preferred. 7+ years of experience in Wireless Technology Development & Management with top MSOs, Telcos, satellite operators, or major wireless vendors in the U.S. Deep knowledge of wireless access technologies including WiFi5, WiFi6, WiFi7, 4G-LTE, and familiarity with 5G, with a proven track record in managing wireless access engineering systems. Proficiency with network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and inventory tools such as SQL databases, Splunk, Plume, Scope. Familiarity with CPE Wireless Gateway and Router designs and roadmaps for major U.S. operators. Operational experience with WiFi and LTE, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives.
