Envision Technology, an innovative small business providing advanced electro-optical solutions for defense applications, seeks an Electrical Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for schematic design, layout, integration, and test of complex electro-optical systems mainly used for defense applications.Interested in this role You can find all the relevant information in the description below.*Responsibilities:*· Collaborate in all stages of development, from conceptual architectures to detailed design, through system integration and manufacturing support.· Work on a multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Most design teams consist of mechanical, software, systems, optical engineers, and a program manager.* Aid in the evaluation of designs through simulation, prototype testing and requirement verification.· Schematic Design Skills:* Power supply design for battery operated systems* Understanding of communication interfaces used in embedded systems* Size Weight and Power trade studies* High speed data transmission is a plus* Experience with laser driver circuits is a plus* Experience with Orcad schematic capture is a plus· Layout Design Skills:o Proper component placemento High density routing techniques including stacked micro via architectures* Generate documentation for quote and procurement.o Working with vendors to generate stackups and answer technical questions* EMC best practices* Experience with Allegro PCB is a plus* Troubleshoot design failure modes to root cause and develop quick, effective solutions.* Provide production/ manufacturing support, as needed.* Support customer program reviews.*Qualifications:*· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, with 5+ years of relevant work experience.· Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced development environment.· Hands-on experience with system integration, debug, and test, including basic soldering skills and test equipment use.· Experience with electrical design principles for surviving a military environment.· Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.· Excellent organization skills and the ability to interact with customers, suppliers, and other external personnel.· Ability to move up to 25 pounds.*Additional Information: *· Applicant must be a US Person.· Individuals applying for this position should have the aptitude and motivation to proactively contribute to a small business culture from day one and grow with the company.· Brief travel within the US to customer locations may be required occasionally to support product testing or design reviews.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.This position will have access to information and items protected under the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and must therefore be a “U.S. person” as that term is defined under ITAR, 22 CFR 120.62.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee assistance program* Flexible spending account* Health insurance* Health savings account* Life insurance* Paid time off* Tuition reimbursement* Vision insuranceApplication Question(s):* This position will have access to information and items protected under the International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR) and must therefore be a “U.S. person” as that term is defined under ITAR, 22 CFR 120.62.
